Every year, the Uganda Veterinary Board joins the global veterinary community in commemorating World Veterinary Day, highlighting the indispensable role of veterinarians in society. The celebration typically features public awareness campaigns, community outreach activities, and panel discussions that connect veterinarians with farmers, students, and the general public. Themes revolve around animal welfare, zoonotic disease prevention, and sustainable livestock management. The event is also an opportunity to showcase success stories, recognize outstanding veterinarians, and encourage young professionals to pursue veterinary careers. Through this celebration, UVB strengthens the bond between veterinary practice and public health in Uganda.
